I was surprised.. I initially picked this book up because of the cover and this time of the year. The cover sort of lead me to expect this was going to be some sort of creepy supernatural tale of horror, but instead it turned out to be a nostalgic tale of a group of small-town kids adventures one long Halloween night in the 1960’s. Fun Halloween Story This is a fun book to read during the Halloween season. It tells the story of four kids who have a big adventure while trick or treating. It is Halloweenish, with trick or treating, pumpkins, leaves, and all the other trappings of the season, but it isn’t gory or scary. Since I prefer the season without the blood and Gore, that was a big plus to me. If you prefer it the same way, you will like this book.
